Why Buy a Shofar From Me?
I know what a great Shofar sounds like. I have been blowing the Shofar for almost 40 years. I am a classically trained trumpet player. As a teenager I blew the Shofar in my parents Conservative Jewish Synagogue on the Holy Days and have trained many others to do the same in their Synagogues.
I have blown 100's and 100's of Shofars. In my experience the majority of the Shofars that are sold today are not very good. They are not melodic, sound weak and barely produce 2-3 notes.
When you purchase a Shofar from most suppliers, they simply grab one of the size you ordered and ship it off to you. They have no idea how good it is or what it sounds like.
I personally go to the warehouse and blow all of the Shofars in their inventory (usually around 80-100) and select only the few that meet my high standards. I usually find 1 great Shofar for every 20-30 that I blow. That means that you have about a 4% chance of getting a great Shofar when you buy from most suppliers.
The Shofars you see available below were the ones that met my high standards. They are all great Shofars and each one produces at least 5 melodic notes with a strong, clear and powerful sound. (To hit more than 3 notes may take practice and the strengthening of your lip).

These bags are padded and made of very durable "back pack" type material. They come with handles, shoulder strap and 3 sets of Velcro straps inside the bag to hold your Shofar in place.
They can fit most horns with a standing length of up to 36". Keep in mind that there is a difference between standing length (the height of the horn standing on its end) and the length of the horn (measured around the outside curve...as if it was straightened out).
Almost all of the Shofars featured above will fit in the bag. When you call to order I can let you know if the Shofar will fit.
